Pork Ribeye Roast Burgers

with Apple Slaw and Rosemary Fries

1 packet Heartland NZ pork ribeye roast

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 4 burger buns
  • Apple Slaw
  • 2 large apples, grated
  • 1 cup cabbage, shredded
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp chipotle sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Handful of mint, parsley and coriander, chopped
  • Rosemary fries
  • 500g potatoes, peeled and sliced into wedges
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp rosemary, minced


  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Place potato wedges into a baking tray and toss with salt and pepper, olive oil and rosemary.
  3. Rub oil, garlic, paprika, salt and pepper into pork roast. Place pork in a deep roasting dish.
  4. Place both the pork and the potatoes into the oven and cook for 45 minutes.
  5. While the pork and potatoes roast in the oven, mix all of the apple slaw ingredients together in a large bowl.
  6. Remove pork from the oven and slice thinly. Coat in BBQ sauce and season if needed.
  7. To serve, place sliced pork onto toasted burger buns, and top with apple slaw, mayonnaise and BBQ sauce. Serve with rosemary fries.
