Sirloin Steaks
Pork Sirloin Steak Tacos
Ingredients
1 packet Heartland NZ pork sirloin steaks
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 packet soft tacos
- Rub
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp chilli powder
- ½ tsp cumin
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Chipotle Mayo
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp chipotle sauce
- Juice of 1 lime
- Guacamole
- 2 avocadoes, smashed
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1 red onion, diced
- 2 tbsp coriander, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Mix all of the chipotle mayonnaise ingredients together in a small bowl and set aside.
- Mix all of the guacamole ingredients together in a small bowl and set aside.
- In a bowl, combine all of the rub ingredients together. Coat each pork steak in the rub and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large frypan, and fry steaks over medium-heat for 6 minutes – turning half way through.
- Rest steaks for 5 minutes, then slice thinly – almost shredded.
- Warm soft tacos in the microwave or oven, then top with shredded pork, guacamole and chipotle sauce.
