Sirloin Steaks

Pork Sirloin Steak Tacos

Ingredients

1 packet Heartland NZ pork sirloin steaks

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 packet soft tacos
  • Rub
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp chilli powder
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Chipotle Mayo
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp chipotle sauce
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Guacamole
  • 2 avocadoes, smashed
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 red onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp coriander, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Mix all of the chipotle mayonnaise ingredients together in a small bowl and set aside.
  2. Mix all of the guacamole ingredients together in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, combine all of the rub ingredients together. Coat each pork steak in the rub and set aside.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large frypan, and fry steaks over medium-heat for 6 minutes – turning half way through.
  5. Rest steaks for 5 minutes, then slice thinly – almost shredded.
  6. Warm soft tacos in the microwave or oven, then top with shredded pork, guacamole and chipotle sauce.
